For newly set up accounts, your initial deposit must be at least SGD500.
For Singapore residents, you can deposit funds into your account by cheque, ATM, internet banking and wire transfer. International customers will have to use wire transfer to deposit funds into their accounts. We will only be able to accept payments from named account holders.
As an existing customer, you can also fund your account online by credit card. We accept Visa/MasterCard debit cards and Visa/MasterCard credit cards. Please note that a card transaction fee of 3% will be incurred and payable by you.

Funding may be rejected if your proof of transaction is not in order. The deposits may be rejected with or without notice. We are not responsible for any losses that you may suffer following any delay in acceptance of your deposits due to reasons beyond our control such as omission of the required information as detailed in the paragraphs below under each method of funding.
For urgent funding, particularly for the purpose of meeting margin calls, please state clearly as such in your correspondence to us when you send us the proof of transaction. If you wish to confirm the crediting of your deposits, you are advised to call our Client Management team on 1800 826 9988 (+65 6826 9988 worldwide) to confirm our acceptance of your deposits.
In all cases, please note that your FX account will be managed in US dollars and all transactions will be based on US dollars.
Yes, you can fund our City Index FX account via cheque payment. All cheques should be made payable to City Index Asia Pte Ltd, with your account number written on the back of the cheque.
You may send the cheque to City Index Asia Pte Ltd, Customer Service Department, 6 Battery Road, #20-01, Singapore 049909.
Alternatively, you may deposit the cheque directly to the bank with your bank account number written on the back of the cheque. Please make a photocopy or scan an image of the cheque prior to depositing the cheque to the bank. Thereafter, fax a copy of the cheque to +65 6826 9968 or email a scanned image of the cheque to email@example.com for our record. DBS and POSB customers can fund their FX account through the Bill Payment facility using their online DBS/POSB account. To fund your FX account, login to you DBS/POSB iBanking account and following the steps below:
1. Login to DBS iBanking
2. On the left navigation menu, click on “Payment” >> “Bill Payments”
3. Select “City Index Asia Pte Ltd” from the drop down list
4. Click “Submit” button to continue
5. A message will appear informing the consumers that they will require an OTP Authorization when confirming the payment
6. Click “OK” to continue and “Cancel” to abort the transaction
7. Enter the payment information
8. Click “View More Info” link to view the acceptable Consumer Ref No. The reference number is your trading account number. For new clients who do not have a trading account number yet, the reference number is your NRIC/FIN number
9. Click “Submit” button to continue with the payment
10. Enter the One-Time-Password (OTP), which is sent to the consumer’s mobile phone
11. Click “Confirm” to submit payment

Instructions received by City Index Asia Pte Ltd will be processed within three working days. For clients with offshore banking accounts outside Singapore, funds will be wire transferre to clients. Wire transfers typically would take three working days and all Telegraphic Transfer charges will be borne by the client.
