    Q: How can I transfer funds into my FX account?

    For Singapore residents, you can deposit funds into your account by cheque, ATM, internet banking and wire transfer. International customers will have to use wire transfer to deposit funds into their accounts. We will only be able to accept payments from the named account holder.

    Please note that only the funding methods mentioned above are acceptable. We do not accept cash deposits. Cash deposits may be rejected upfront or refunded to you with or without notice.
    Funding may be rejected if the proof of transaction is not in order. The deposits may be rejected with or without notice. We are not responsible for any losses that you may suffer following any delay in acceptance of your deposits due to reasons beyond our control such as omission of the required information as detailed in the paragraphs below under each of the method of funding.

    For urgent funding, particularly for purpose of meeting margin calls,  please state clearly as such in your correspondence to us when you send in the proof of transaction. If you wish to confirm the crediting of your deposits, you are advised to call our Customer Service at 1800 826 9988 (+65 6826 9988 worldwide) to confirm our acceptance of your deposits.

    In all cases, please note that your FX account will be managed in US dollar and all transactions will be based on US Dollar.

    Q: Can I fund my FX account via cheque payment?

    All cheques should be made payable to City Index Asia Pte Ltd, with your account number written on the back of the cheque.

    You may send the cheque to City Index Asia Pte Ltd, Customer Service Department, 6 Battery Road, #20-01, Singapore 049909.

    Alternatively, you may deposit the cheque directly to the bank with your bank account number written on the back of the cheque. Please make a photocopy or a scan image of the cheque prior to depositing the cheque to the bank. Thereafter, fax (+65 6826 9968) a copy or email enquiries@cityindexasia.com the scanned image of the cheque to us for our record. Please direct your fund deposit to the relevant bank account listed below.

    • For SGD- denominated cheque: HSBC Bank Account No. 041-394123-002
    • For USD- denominated cheque: HSBC Bank Account No. 260-357116-181

    Q: Can I fund my FX account via ATM transfers?

    For ATM transfer, you may direct your fund deposit to any of the bank accounts listed below:

  • DBS Bank Account No. 022-900827-1 (Bank Branch code: 022)
  • Please fax (+65 6826 9968) a copy or email enquiries@cityindexasia.com a scanned image of the ATM receipt to us for your record.

    Q: Can I fund my FX account via Internet banking?

    For internet transfers, you may direct your fund deposit to any of the bank accounts listed below:

  • DBS Bank Account No 022-900827 -1 (Bank branch code 022)
  • HSBC Bank Account No. 041-394123-002 
  • Please email enquiries@cityindexasia.com to us a screenshot, showing the details of the fund transfer at the end of the online transaction, for our record. The screenshot should include the following information:

    • Amount
    • Bank account number from which the funds have been sent.
    • Bank account number to which the fund is credited.
    • Date of transfer

    Q: Is it possible to wire transfer funds into my City Index FX account?

    Remittance instructions should include a further credit to City Index Asia Pte Ltd with HSBCSGSG and your account number.

    Ensure that the remitting bank sends MT103 to HSBCSGSG so that we can apply funds to your account.

    Funding in other currencies

    Q: How can I transfer funds out of my FX account?

    If your address changes, please contact client services on 1800 8269953 (call toll free from Singapore) / +65 6826 9988 (call worldwide) or email us at enquiries@cityindexasia.com.sg
    To transfer funds out of your account, you will need to send a written instruction to our Customer Service team either via email at enquiries@cityindexasia.com.sg  or post (City Index Asia Pte Ltd, 6 Battery Road, #20-06, Singapore 049909).

    Instructions received by City Index Asia Pte Ltd will be processed within 3 working days.
    For clients with banking accounts based in Singapore, we will only return funds to the client via cheque and made payable to the client's name.
    For clients with offshore banking accounts outside Singapore, funds will be wire transfer to clients. Wire transfers typically would take three working days and all Telegraphic Transfer charges will be borne by the client.
