Q: How can I fund my City Index CFD trading account?
For newly set up accounts, your initial deposit must be at least SGD500.
For Singapore residents, you can deposit funds into your account by cheque, ATM, internet banking and wire transfer. International customers will have to use wire transfers to deposit funds into their accounts. We will only be able to accept payments from named account holders.
As an existing customer, you can also fund your account online by credit card. We accept Visa/MasterCard debit cards and Visa/MasterCard credit cards. Please note that a card transaction fee of 3% will be incurred and payable by you.
Please note that only the above funding methods are acceptable. We are unable to accept cash.
Funding may be rejected if proof of transaction is not in order. The deposits may be rejected with or without notice. We are not responsible for any losses that you may suffer following any delay in acceptance of your deposits due to reasons beyond our control such as omission of the required information as detailed in the paragraphs below under each method of funding.
For urgent funding, particularly for the purpose of meeting margin calls, please state clearly as such in your correspondence to us when you send us the proof of transaction. If you wish to confirm the crediting of your deposits, you are advised to call our Client Management team on 1800 826 9988 (+65 6826 9988 worldwide) to confirm our acceptance of your deposits.
Q: Can I fund my CFD account via cheque payment?
Yes, it is possible to fund your City Index CFD account using cheque payment. All cheques should be made payable to City Index Asia Pte Ltd, with your account number written on the back of the cheque.
You may send the cheque to City Index Asia Pte Ltd, Client Management Department, 6 Battery Road, #20-01, Singapore 049909.
Alternatively, you may deposit the cheque directly to the bank with our bank account number written on the back of the cheque. Please make a photocopy or scan the image of the cheque prior to depositing the cheque in the bank. Thereafter, fax a copy over to +65 6826 9968 or email the scanned image of the cheque to enquiries@cityindexasia.com for our record. Please direct your fund deposit to the relevant bank account listed below:

Q: Can I fund my CFD account via ATM transfers?

Q: Can I fund my CFD account via Internet banking?
DBS and POSB customers can fund their CFD account through the Bill Payment facility using their online DBS/POSB account. To fund your CFD account, login to you DBS/POSB Ibanking account and following the steps below:
1. Login to DBS iBanking
2. On the left navigation menu, click on “Payment” >> “Bill Payments”
3. Select “City Index Asia Pte Ltd” from the drop down list
4. Click “Submit” button to continue
5. A message will appear informing the consumers that they will require an OTP Authorization when confirming the payment
6. Click “OK” to continue and “Cancel” to abort the transaction
7. Enter the payment information
8. Click “View More Info” link to view the acceptable Consumer Ref No. The reference number is your trading account number. For new clients who do not have a trading account number yet, the reference number is your NRIC/FIN number
9. Click “Submit” button to continue with the payment
10. Enter the One-Time-Password (OTP), which is sent to the consumer’s mobile phone.
11. Click “Confirm” to submit payment
If you would like us to credit your account with the funds urgently, please email a screenshot of the transaction confirmation screen to enquiries@cityindexasia.com.
For non DBS/POSB customers, please direct your funds to HSBC Bank Account Number 041-394123-002.
Q: Is it possible to wire transfer funds into my City Index CFD account?
For currencies other than SGD, remittance instructions should include a further credit to City Index Asia Pte Ltd with HSBCSGSG and your account number.
Ensure that the remitting bank sends MT103 to HSBCSGSG so that we can apply funds to your account.

Q: How do I transfer funds out of my CFD account?
If your address changes, please contact Client Management on 1800 8269988 (call toll free from Singapore) / +65 6826 9988 (call worldwide) or email us at enquiries@cityindexasia.com
To transfer funds out of your account, you will need to send a written instruction to our Client Management team either via email at enquiries@cityindexasia.com or post (City Index Asia Pte Ltd, 6 Battery Road, #20-01, Singapore 049909). Instructions received by City Index Asia Pte Ltd will be processed within 3 working days.
For clients with offshore banking accounts outside Singapore, funds will be wire transfer to clients. Wire transfers typically would take three working days and all Telegraphic Transfer charges will be borne by the client.
